The Yankees juggernaut kept rolling in 1953 winning its fifth straight World Championship and establishing itself as a contender for the title of greatest team of all time. But two years later, the frustration finally ended for the great Brooklyn Dodgers of Robinson, Campanella, Snider, Hodges and Reese as they finally overcame the Yankees after failure in five previous "Subway Series" between the two teams. The Dodgers 1955 Championship was also the only one they ever captured while in Brooklyn. Presented are the press pins for both teams from these two historic meetings, with the 1955 Dodgers pin of particular rarity and value. The condition of all four pins is superb, with original threaded posts and Dieges and Clust manufacturers stamping on the Brooklyn versions and grade (NM).
