Description

Offered are two rare uncut strips of W573 cards featuring Hall of Famers Grover Cleveland Alexander and Rogers Hornsby. Similar in design to the E120 American Caramel issue of the same year, the W573s were issued in strips of 10 and with blank backs. Although both strips presented are identical and uniform in width (1-7/8") and length (33-1/8"), variations in the borders from top to bottom show the different patterns when these strips were cut. These cards are extremely difficult to find in the original uncut configurations as sold in stores. The other players represented are Vic Aldridge, Max Flack, Oscar Grimes, Turner Barber, Frank Davis, Henry Severeid, John Tobin, Urban Shocker, Walter Gerber, Joe Schultz, Clif Heathcote, George Toporcer, Vern Clemons, Tom Zachary, Ed Gharrity, Norman Boeckel, Horace Ford, and Hank Gowdy.
