The Senior Circuit used stifling pitching along with timely hitting to best the American League, 4-0, in the 1940 All-Star game. This colorful program proudly documents the participants of both leagues. The 18-page artifact grades (VG-EX) with creasing on the front and back covers, moderate spine stress and slightly dog-eared pages. Although the scorecard is detached, the centerfold is unmarked and clean. Candid black-and-white photographs of greats such as DiMaggio, Foxx, Greenberg, Ott and Williams are found throughout this scarce pre-war document.
