The famed “white elephant” of Philadelphia is shown in battle with a fierce cardinal from St. Louis on the cover of this 1931 World Series program. The 36-page publication was sold at Philadelphia’s Shibe Park during the epic seven-game series. The colorful front cover reveals inconsequential fading, while the back cover displays moderate glue residue, paper loss and writing. The inner pages are sharp and clean and are held together by tight staple binding. Additionally, the multi-page scorecard is clean and free of any pencil markings.
