Any preconceived notion that baseball owners are heartless souls is easily dismissed upon reading the offered correspondence from Washington Senators owner Clark Griffith. The letter was written to another club owner, Walter Briggs of the Detroit Tigers, as a thank you for a gift received by Griffith. Griffith shows a sense of humor when he informs Briggs that winning the pennant in 1946 was not going to happen. The letter is boldly signed in black ink, grading a (9) with only the mildest of bleeding present. This incredible item comes with a full photo LOA from JSA.
