Description

Following a prolonged batting slump during his rookie season in July 1951, Mickey Mantle was sent to AAA Kansas City for seasoning. After a one-sided conversation from his father, Mantle shaped up and was in the big leagues to stay the following month. Presented is an exceedingly rare 1951 Kansas City Blues game program that features Mantle on the cover. The 19-page scorebook presents in (EX-MT) condition with only negligible corner wear that spans the covers through the inner pages. The clean scorecard also lists #20 Mantle as part of the teamís lineup. This publication is ideal for the Mantle specialist who endeavors to have it all.
