In 1921, Ty Cobb promised that he would return to San Francisco when the Seals completed the construction of their ballpark. He made good on his word in 1931 and presented is a 10x8 wire photo of Cobb in a suit and tie, hitting a ball to dedicate the opening of the Seals’ new stadium. This picture is in (VG) condition and is missing pieces from the upper right and lower left corners. The original press clipping is attached to the back.
