The presented collection features a total of five pieces signed by Hall of Fame inductee Zachariah Davis Wheat (d.1972). The most unique piece of the lot has to be the Social Security Health Insurance card signed Zachariah D. Wheat in blue ballpoint with a signature rating an (“8”). The card measures 3-1/2x2-1/4 and was effective through July 1, 1966. Another unique piece is the 1940 Feld Chevrolet of Kansas City financing contract signed in black fountain with a signature that rates a (“7-8”). The relic measures 8x3 and displays a By Renewal stamp partially obscuring “Zack”. Rounding out the lot is a trio of signed personal checks drafted from the Camden Country Bank (MO) from 1960, 1961 and 1971. The signatures rate (“7”), (“8”) and (“8”) respectively, while the checks themselves display the corresponding stamps and processing marks as well as wallet-folds. The 1961 example additionally shows a small tear on the middle of the upper edge. This very interesting grouping comes with an auction LOA from James Spence Authentications.
