The 1929 Philadelphia Athletics are considered by some to be one of the most dominant teams of all-time. Over a five-year span, from 1928 to 1932, the Athletics pounded the American League averaging 101 wins a season en route to three junior circuit championships and two World Series crowns - even the mighty Yankees could not equal the power of the A’s line-up. In the shadow of Ruth and Gehrig, the A’s consistently prevailed under the expert tutelage of Connie Mack. This team compiled an impressive 104-46 record in 1929 on their way to defeating the Chicago Cubs in the World Series, 4 games to one. Presented is one of the most complete Philadelphia Athletics autographed team balls from their 1929 World Series team. This extraordinary example features (21) signatures headlined by Hall of Famers Jimmie Foxx (“4”), Lefty Grove (“4”), Connie Mack and Al Simmons (“4-5”). The signatures rate in the (“3-5”) range. The ball is a red-and-blue stitched OAL Barnard baseball in (EX) condition. For a complete list of the signatures, position on the ball and condition, please visit our website.
