The offered lot contains thirteen antique Registered/Licensed Chauffeur badges from the great state of Illinois. This vintage relics date from the early 1910s through the early 1930s, and each remains complete with the original pin backings. These metallic badges measure between 1-1/4 and 2 in diameter and display serial numbers as well as etched text and designs. The earlier badges are noted as Registered Chauffeur, though beginning in 1917 they were etched as Licensed Chauffeur. The badges are complete and display generally in attractive middle-grade condition. The 1912, 1921 and 1922 examples show some frontal tarnish. One example is undated and likely hails from 1910-11, as it is of the Registered variation. The remaining twelve pins include: 1912, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1916, 1917, 1918, 1919, 1921, 1922, 1927 and 1934.
