"Mr. Senator," which was used as the official Washington logo from 1957 through 1960, was created by artist Zang Auerbach (d.2003). This beautiful rendering of the original logo artwork is signed twice by Auerbach and is accompanied by six original items of Senators memorabilia in which “Mr. Senator” was featured. The items are (2) full-sized pennants (both VG), the 1957 yearbook (EX-MT), media and roster guides (EX-MT) and a small decal (EX). Zang Auerbach also drew the Boston Celtics leprechaun logo for his brother Red Auerbach.
