Presented is a dated 1933 World Wide Gum Company stock certificate that was issued to Parker Corning, heir of the famous glass merchants. The Corning family would eventually purchase the confectioners. The typed 11 x 8 1/2 sheet reveals moderate fraying and creasing and is stapled to a pair of transfer and taxation sheets. This lot comes with a letter of authenticity from William Thompson, son of George Thompson, former owner of the Goudey Company until its closing in 1962; these items came directly from the Goudey Gum archives.
