Graded Good 2 by PSA. The offered 1952 Topps Baseball #311 Mickey Mantle rookie card was given to our consignor as a goodwill gesture by a neighbor - quite a gift! Of the countless trading cards that Topps has manufactured over the past 70+ years, this "giant size" high number is universally regarded as the most important. By the time Topps had released the #311-407 high series in late 1952, "Joe DiMaggio's successor" had already cemented himself as a young superstar and boyhood hero to millions nationwide. As such, early Mantle material is highly prized in any condition. Fortunately, the offered Mantle is absent of extreme wear. The only creasing is located on the upper right (on the white portion of the edge) and bottom right corners. With exception to limited storage induced edge staining and scant surface imperfections, the overall construction of this legendary card is not seriously compromised. The "laces face left" reverse is clean with bold text.
